A lot has been made in past decades about the "conflict" between Christianity and contemporary knowledge around the origins of the universe, as if they were incompatible. Here, Van Der Zee retells the Christian story as including our knowledge around the origins of the universe, asking the question, "What if we told the story of the Bible from the perspective of what science has learned about God's world?" The result is a beautiful, sermon-like proclamation narrating the creative love of God "from Stardust to New Creation."
