Disciple 34 Week Bible Study

We no longer live in a Christian culture in most of North America where people learn the biblical stories or are exposed to the Christian tradition by virtue of just being Canadian. One of the things we need most as a 21st century church is reclaiming the power and purpose of intentional faith formation.

Becoming Disciples through Bible Study is a dynamic approach to the study of the Bible. During 34 weeks of intensive study, this program moves through the scriptures from Genesis to Revelation using print and video resources in a small group format. Rev. Ryan Slifka will be be leading this intensive formation-oriented small group bible study over the period of 34 weeks to give people the opportunity to dive in and dig deep into the Christian story and learn how to live it daily.

Time commitments are three and one-half to four hours of independent study each week (40 minutes daily for leaders and 30 minutes daily for group members) in preparation for weekly group meetings, and attendance at weekly 2.5 hour meetings. The actual time of meeting will be set based on what works best for the participants. Child care will be provided if needed.
