On Tuesday, February 22nd, St. George's Council of Elders voted to become a sponsoring congregation for refugees on behalf of the United Church of Canada, a recognized Sponsorship Agreement Holder. Click here to see the proposal that was approved by council.

St. George's is the sponsoring body on behalf of a Committee made up of representatives of St. George's, Comox United Church, Cumberland United Chuech, and Living Hope Alliance Church with the intent of sponsoring a refugee family in the Comox Valley in the near future. We are currently in the first stages of approval, and hope to move forward quickly over the coming months.

While this is a joint effort among our communities of faith, we are inviting the wider Comox Valley community to help in any way they wish to. If you have questions about the sponsorship, or are interested in volunteering your time, please contact Gary Stevenson by filling out the form below.
